Born and raised in West London, award nominated filmmaker/producer Joshua King been involved with the creative arts since he was little. His mum put him into acting classes as a child to help him thrive in something that his older brother did not. His love of theatre and film stems from this moment, it has only grown over the years since that very first moment.
He trained as an actor with: Questors theatre, Slyvia Young Theatre throughout his childhood. He was also a runner for an ITN cameraman in his teenage years. Before heading off to Swansea University to do a B.A. Hons. in English Lit.
Upon returning to London at the end of his degree, he joined The Bridge Theatre Training Company graduating in 2016 with a professional acting diploma. In the same year Joshua co-founded the production company Open The Vault Productions.
His most recent work, the neo-western short film When the West is Done with You, recently finished its festival run. During which it was nominated for multiple awards across various different film festivals: including Best Comedy at Brighton Rocks festival.
